  1. Pick a captain to register your team.
  2. Challenge your coworkers to start teams – male, female or coed.
  3. Register online (you don’t have to know all 5 runners when you register).
  4. Run – organize lunch runs or join the Colfax Ambassadors for group runs.
  5. Check out the Relay Leg Details such as Screaming Downhill and Downtown River Trek including stadium run-through.

Win Money for Charity

Compete for more than $100,000 in awards for charity – 60 top teams designate one of our eligible Charity Partners as a recipient.  Check out the 2019 winners – Corporate, Open, Government.  Times are based on chip time (the timing chip is in the baton).  All 5 runners must be employees (or elected officials) of the same government entity, or up to 2 of the 5 runners may be family members to be eligible for awards.  School districts, special districts, city, state, federal are all eligible.  Coed teams need to ensure they have 1 runner of each sex, for a total of 5 runners.

Bragging Rights & Awards

For the Government Division, the top 3 overall winners in each division for Male, Female, and Coed receive both awards and money for a charity.  Government winners pick award recipient from a select list of qualified charity partners.  This list of eligible charity partners will be posted in the spring. Challenge your coworkers down the hall, or give teams like Aurora Fire, Denver Water and Jeffco Schools a run for their money!

10 - $1000 awards teachers can win for their school

Plus – there is an additional ten $1000 awards that the top 10 fastest teams of teachers/staff can win for their own school!  Eligibility — Teams must be teachers/staff from the same Colorado K-12 public school (up to two of the five runners may be family members of teachers/staff at the school or district administration employees or district school board members).  These are overall awards so teams may be male, female, or coed.  Note — If a team places in the Government Cup overall, they may not receive these dollars as well.  If your school would like to use the Colfax Marathon as a fundraiser click here.  If your teams have students on them, they run in the Open Division and are not eligible for the teacher awards here.
