Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies (GRRR) is a mostly volunteer-powered 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1996. Based at Phoebe’s Place in Arvada, Colorado, we are one of only three Golden Retriever rescues in the country with an on-site facility.

Each year, we rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome approximately 300 Golden Retrievers, providing comprehensive veterinary care and safe housing until they are matched with loving forever families. Our veterinary and medical expenses alone exceed $130,000 annually as we ensure every dog receives the treatment, rehabilitation, and support they need to thrive.

We also assist owners who can no longer care for their dogs, ensuring every surrendered Golden receives proper medical care and compassionate support before adoption.
