Friends of Paha
A nonprofit board building awareness for Camp Paha, inspiring compassion in the community to support campers with disabilities and their families.
Friends of Paha raises money to support Camp Paha, a summer camp for children and young adults with disabilities run by the City of Lakewood. Without this camp, many of these campers would be stuck at home for the summer. This camp is life changing for campers and their families because it provides the opportunity for campers to build life skills, independence, friendships and fun in a safe and nurturing environment. Camp Paha provides an opportunity to participate in aquatics, sports, nature & science, music & drama, outdoor activities, and arts & crafts along with field trips into the community. This is the only camp of its kind in the Denver metro area. Programs are provided for campers with all disability types: developmental, physical, emotional, behavioral, and learning.
