International Career Advancement Program (ICAP) – University of Denver – Josef Korbel School

Housed within Josef Korbel School of Global and Public Affairs, the International Career Advancement Program (ICAP) is a premier professional development and leadership initiative for mid-career professionals in international affairs. Founded in 1997 by Dean Emeritus Dr. Tom Rowe, ICAP has supported nearly 1,000 Fellows in advancing their careers and moving into senior roles across government, nonprofit, and private sectors. The program has remained committed to strengthening the quality and effectiveness of U.S. leadership in global affairs by drawing participants who reflect the nation’s full range of talent and experience. ICAP equips Fellows with the leadership tools, management skills, professional networks, career-focused strategies, and renewed mentality to re-engage with clarity, purpose, and excellence on the world stage.

The Korbel School at the University of Denver is a highly respected institution (ranked 12th globally) dedicated to preparing students to lead in international affairs, public policy, and global problem-solving through rigorous academics and real-world experience.
