Morning Runs
The early morning is a beautiful time of day: the sun is rising, the streets and trails are quiet, and often the only sounds are you and your footsteps. If you’re out running like the rest of the CLIF team, that is. Morning runs are a great way to start your day, helping boost your metabolism, getting your endorphins going, and making you feel better throughout the day.
But how do you prepare for your morning run? Do you need to eat before? Or can you roll out of bed and go? And if you don’t eat before, what do you need to eat after your run to recover? Today we sit down with some CLIF runners to talk with them about their experience with morning runs. We’ll also chat with our in-house sports dietitian and nutritionist about the best way to prepare yourself for your morning run and everything that follows.
