Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue (RMFR)
Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue’s mission is to care for and shelter homeless cats and kittens until we can find them a permanent, loving home. Over the past thirty five years the organization has grown into a limited-intake, free-roaming shelter with indoor and protected outdoor space for 125 cats. In 2020, RMFR provided medical expenses, housing, food, exams, inhouse surgeries, and medical treatment for 1,800 cats and kittens. The rescue prioritizes being a safe-space for FIV+, FeLV+, and senior cat populations often underserved by municipal shelter programs. RMFR does not contract with local governing bodies and receives no government funding. Instead, the rescue relies on individual donations, events, and grant fundraising efforts to support operation expenses.
