GoodTurn Cycles
GoodTurn Cycles is a nonprofit bike shop that provides job skills training for young adults that have not found success in traditional education or employment systems. Through a three-month, paid internship, young people learn bicycle mechanics, customer service, and employability skills. Additionally, they are paired with a mentor who supports them throughout their internship with career readiness and job coaching. Interns are given a bike to work on during their program and can keep the bike after completion.
GoodTurn operates on the model of sales, service, rentals, and impact. We sell and rent electric bikes, and also perform professional service on all bikes. These ventures sustain the internship program.
