Children’s Treehouse Foundation
Inspiring emotional support for children of parents with cancer.
Founded in 2001, The Children’s Treehouse Foundation has a unique mission: To ensure that every child whose parent is diagnosed with cancer is given the early tools and emotional support to cope. Sadly, this year alone, some 749,000 children will hear this dreadful news: “Your mom/dad has cancer.” Without sufficient support, these children will struggle with their emotions: anger, sadness, isolation and more. But by participation in our supportive program, CLIMB® —Children’s Lives Include Moments of Bravery, children are better able to cope with their feelings, and normalize communications with their parent(s). We work with major cancer centers and train their professional staff to provide CLIMB to their cancer families and children. Currently, the program is provided at 91 cancer centers in 33 states in the USA and in seven foreign countries. For more information about us, click here.Donate
